My dreams are as many as the stars
They shine through my darkness of doubts
They seem so far yet very close
I sit still in my nights and stare at my stars
I dance with my dreams when no one is watching
I hope in my dreams
I believe in my dreams
I hold on to my dreams each day,
Dancing with the Stars.
i am an African woman.
i am blessed with curves.
my thighs and legs are thick.
my bottom is rounded.
my hair is coarse and kinky.
my skin is dark
i am not a size zero; my hips won't let me be.
i don't look like most of the girls in magazines or on the runway.
But i am a model and i am beautiful, just as my mother, Africa.
i am my mother's daughter.
The first time i stood in-front of the camera for a shoot was not as a model. it was just me as a girl who could play the violin with the amazing photographer Steven Adusei. My eye brows were unwaxed, i had no knowledge of make up application, i knew little to nothing about posing and right angles for the camera, but I loved the experience. The model in me was put to birth. It has been an amazing journey since then. The girl next door transformed into a model. This was the Genesis of my journey
